Abstract


The use of digital technologies by society, has a direct influence on the culture of the population, especially in computer technologies such as CAD - Computed Aided Design, CAM - Computed Aided Manufacturing, CAE - Computed Aided Engineering and CNC - Computed Numerical Control, used in engineering projects, designers products, and in the works of artists. This interdependence between culture, behavior, and use of these technologies will be critical for future societies. This paper aims to illustrate, analyze and disseminate the use of these technologies by engineers, designers and artists, based on the work developed by students of these areas, based in the project and manufacture of affordable cost and technology equipment as a CNC milling machine, and a 3D Printer developed in academic and institutional environment, including community extension activity.
