Exploração da forma através da dilatação e organização espacial

Abstract

This article is about a didactic experience ofcreating ad exploring geometric shapes with Designundergraduate students. The cases of symmetry (reflection,translational, rotational and scale symmetry) were used toestablish ways of spatial organization in the first moment.After, the internal structure of geometric shapes wasexplored in order to create various compositions, by usingstraight lines and curves. Based on the combination of thesetwo studies, several interesting, aesthetic and compositionalresults were obtained.
