Abstract

The discussion about the transition of the modernity to the postmodernity, understanding the latter as any opposition to the modernist movement, persists alive at the Academies. In different manners, in several knowledge areas (architecture, philosophy, science, music, dramatics, painting and other), professionals (designers, teachers, scientists and artists) present propositions that are sometimes for, sometimes against modernism. Thereby, the current communication aims to show how modernism and postmodernism present themselves in the space and on the lives of common people, as it was, especially with the Internet’s popularization, the unique media where all participants are active, a combination between the savant, the popular and the mass culture revealing that the idea of pure separation between theoretical archetypes modernist and postmodernist narratives are just ideological.
