PROJETO ROBÓTICA EDUCACIONAL: UMA NOVA PERSPECTIVA PARA A AMAZÔNIA
Abstract
The project “Robótica Educacional” is a actionof GERAE (Applied and Educational Robotics Study Group)from Pará Federal Institute of Technology (IFPA) with theobjective to create a new educational concept on theAmazonic region, using the robotic platform, because it is amultidisciplinary technology. The project consists onundergraduate students of Control and AutomationEngineering, using robotics educational kits (LegoMindstorms NXT 2.0) spread this technology and theengineering education to the general community, makinglectures and workshops, and inside them, proposingchallenges and problems to be resolved, and theparticipating people have to design the best solutions andimplement them, thus improving teamwork and creativity,beyond the capabilities of contextualizing mathematics andphysics. In other words, on this project robotics is used as alearning platform that encourages engineering career.Index Terms ⎯ Robotics, Control, Mechatronics,Educational.
