The influence of Information Technology (IT) inoperational automation and in the decision making process,of competitive enterprises in the global market, is growing inan exponential way. Since systems implementation forenterprise resource planning (ERP), several applicationshave been developed, with the objective to increaseproductivity and quality in tasks performing. In the logisticsarea IT is collaborating to reduce the response time of aclient request. The correct use of information to formbusiness knowledge is bringing new opportunities forcompanies, and identifying computer-assisted technology tomake the most appropriate decision is the challenge of themoment. The objective of this paper is to investigate anddiscuss the various ways to obtain and manage knowledgeacross the various available technologies.
