Abstract

Water is an essential natural resource forsustain life and a great economic value because it is alimited resource, which is suffering great degradability byhumans actions. The water resource problematic and theloss of conscience of population about the environmentalproblematic have caused changes in the water quality, inconsequence endangering the people life quality that uses it,just like happen in the Redenção City. The inadequatemanagement of water resources of the city endangersdirectly the population and local biodiversity. This articleaims to propose mitigating actions for the impact caused byhuman activities in the water resource, based onlaboratorial samples, to put the quality of the water on thestandard quality, established by the law, consequently,promote the environmental sustainability of the waterresource.Index Terms ⎯  Monitoring, quality standard, human actionand sustainability.
