ANÁLISE DA DISTRIBUIÇÃO ESPACIAL DO AGRAVO AIDS NO ESTADO DA PARAÍBA NO PERÍODO DE 2000-2010

Abstract

The AIDS remains a serious public healthproblem that occurred even after more than two decades ofhis identification. No studies to date to examine the spatialdistribution of AIDS in the state of Paraiba. Thus, withoutinformation about the patterns of spatial distribution, itbecomes difficult for the manager of public health programsto develop prevention and reduction. The aim of this study isto analyze the spatial distribution of individuals with AIDSin the state of Paraiba in the period of 2000-2010. This's anecological study, which used as a data source SINAN. Werereported 3036 cases of this disease in the state ofParaiba. The relative risk in the municipalities of the stateranged between 0 and 208. We used the method Scan anddetected the presence of spatial clusters in the littoral andswamp Paraiba, in relation to the offense AIDS.Index Terms - aids, spatial analysis, epidemiology,geographic information systems.
