ACESSIBILIDADE AOS CENTROS DE ATENDIMENTO DA FIOCRUZ

Abstract

This paper shows an analysis of accessibility tothe Oswaldo Cruz Foundation attending population centersservices, in Rio de Janeiro. Routes available to the HealthCentre Germano Sinval Faria, Hospital Evandro Chagasand Souza Araújo Outpatient Clinic were analyzed. Theseare reference centers for serving local population as well aspeople with specific diseases and under diagnostic study.Physical barriers on the way to the buildings were listed andassessed. GUT method was used for assessing seriousness,urgency and tendency of physical barriers accessibility.Construction of the new Outpatient Souza Araújo has takenthis experience for carrying out several improvements onbuild way accessibility. However, in order to put physicalbarriers away several actions are still needed.Index Terms ⎯  Acessibility, health centers, Fiocruz.
