Abstract

Playground toys accident prevention demands:attending use statements by population, periodicmaintenance by government and from manufactures qualityassurance and durability. In order to identify and orderanomalies, GUT (acronym in Portuguese for seriousness,urgency and tendency) Method is used. However, when theobject under evaluation - swings, in this research - occurs inlarge frequency and spread out on several locations,decision priorities by GUT become negligible. This paperpresents a contribution to decision priorities for planningand laying down actions to swings maintenance. Decisionanalyses using GUT Method was supported by twoapproaches. One is that GUT scores frequency for assessingan action module value was assumed. The other is thatpriority actions were set up by carrying out a figure formaking decisions. Field inspections were carried out ofswings at Nossa Senhora da Paz, Antero de Quental andLeblon Beach squares.KEY-WORDS ⎯ Evaluation, Maintenance, Swing.
