Abstract


The aim of this theoretical study is to simulate and get the velocity profiles, temperature and pressure of the microvalve Bellouard (2008), open and closed, using the V14 program CFX (Ansys). This study can be used as an aid in the academic environment in projects related to biomedical engineering. The governing equations were solved using the finite volume method with a fully implicit formulation and numerical tetrahedral mesh. Results of the distribution of the profiles mentioned above are analyzed and discussed. Index Terms - CFX, microvalve, Bellouard, biomedical.
