Abstract

This article was prepared from a didactic experience applied in technical draw discipline in civil engineering course. The primary purpose was to provide the opportunity of knowledge construction pertaining to descriptive geometry, specifically the topic of orthogonal projections, using of various tools: theoretical concepts; 3D software and reduced physical models in the study of three-dimensional shapes-volumetric models. To accomplish these goal the theoretical concepts on the orthogonal projections with the elements seen in the twodimensional plane, applied to projective drawing was addressed in the course. The pedagogical approach held in this discipline has made it clear that the teaching/learning of the physical models were especially effective, functional and a powerful tool to the theme by the students.

Index Terms - orthogonal projections, 3D software, shapes-volumetric models, technical draw.
