EFICIÊNCIA DE REMOÇÃO DE DQO DO PROCESSO DE ELETROCOAGULAÇÃO NO TRATAMENTO DE CHORUME

Kahiqui Rafael Ortiz, Janaina Conversani Botari, Alexandre Botari

Abstract

The landfill is the most viable way of final disposal of waste, however environmental risk still exists for producing slurry, whose treatment is the most challenging. So this study was aimed at assessing the efficiency of removal of COD by eletro-coagulation process in treatment of slurry. To assess the efficiency of the process of eletro-coagulation in the treatment of slurry, used an experimental electrolysis in a control volume, were measured physical and chemical parameters of the samples, according to the detention time. Was obtained a mass reduction rate of iron alloy electrode galvanized/aluminum about 39.38x10-2g. h-1, and an average of 46% efficiency in removing COD with detention time between 10 and 20 minutes, and an average efficiency in removing COD of 66% in times of detention between 15 and 60 minutes.
