DESENVOLVIMENTO DE IMPLANTE PERSONALIZADO DE UM CÔNDILO MANDIBULAR EM LIGA DE TITÂNIO, POR PROTOTIPAGEM RÁPIDA UTILIZANDO SINTERIZAÇÃO DE METAL DIRETA A LASER (DMLS)
Abstract
Develop custom implant mandibular condyle by rapid prototyping using sintering Direct metal laser (DMLS) powder alloy Ti-6Al-4V. Methodology: choice of real case alloplastic repair of the mandibular condyle operated, model development proceeding from the tomographic image of the patient by means of computational techniques using the software in Vesallius, preparing the DMLS machine, along with the prototype, samples for evaluate mechanical properties, microstructure, corrosion resistance, finishing, surface roughness, and biocompatibility in vitro, checking the dimensions of the prototype built by comparing with the virtual model. Results: The research is expected to assist the development of a methodology for the selection of appropriate biomaterials for the treatment of craniofacial defects, to be applied specifically in regions of mechanical requirements, taking advantage of rapid prototyping as an auxiliary tool, seeking to encourage a response satisfactory clinical, providing comfort and safety for the patient, as well as reducing the overall cost of treatment.
