PROPOSTA DE UM ÃNDICE DE CUSTO MÉDIO DE CONSTRUÇÃO E EQUIPAMENTOS PARA ESTAÇÕES DE TRATAMENTO DE ESGOTO

Abstract

The model to support decision making, "ETEX-FEARP", was based on decision making techniques in order to assist the urban planners with the choice of wastewater treatment plants (WWTP). The model uses 14 parameters to estimate the costs of implementation, operation and maintenance of eight different types of sewage treatment systems. The calculation of the eight systems’ costs was based on a construction cost table budgeted in 2004. In order to update the budgets, eight new tables of construction costs in different regions of Brazil were produced and the average costs were calculated for use in each of the 14items that the model uses in its calculations. The aim of this study was to propose an index of average cost for WWTP in Brazil which can be used by managers in decision making.
