Abstract

One of the applications of nanotechnologycurrently is the development of particles medicinesdelivery,, biodegradable polymers can be used with PLGA(poly--lactic acid--co--glycolic acid) magnetic structuresconsist of ferrite.. Thisstudy aimed to assessthe viability ofperitoneal macrophages after culture with nanoparticles,,this culture supernatant was collected to measure nitricoxide (NO),, and the cells were subjected to the MTTcolorimetric assay to determine the ability of thesenanoparticlesin modulate the activity of macrophagesto amicrobicidal function.. In addition,, a greater viability ofmurine macrophages taken from males compared tofemales taken from the same lineage.. Also showed theimportant link between the development of newtechnologies and their applicability in biomedicine.

Index terms - Macrophages,, PLGA,, MTT,, NO2,,Magnetic particles..
