EFEITOS DAS COMPOSIÇÕES DE SAIS FUNDENTES NA RECICLAGEM DE ESCÓRIA DE ALUMÃNIO
Abstract
Several works have been performed in the last years to understand and to improve the efficiency of recycling processes of materials and waste, with the purpose to optimize environmental and economic savings. The products generated from aluminum scrap recycling are melted aluminum and a slag with a high content of metal. It is possible to recover an amount of the aluminum present into slag generated from secondary metallurgy by melting this slag with fluxing salt in rotary furnaces. The present work studied the efficiency of aluminum recovery from heating slag in a rotary furnace with two kinds of salt fluxes (NaCl and a mixture containing NaCl, KCl and Criolite). The results showed that greater efficiency of metal recovery was possible by the action of the mixture containing NaCl, KCl, and Criolite with an average of aluminum recovery of 64,76%.
