PERCEPÇÃO SOBRE A IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DAS SOLUÇÕES DE MOBILIDADE E OPTIMIZAÇÃO DAS TIC NA CONSTRUÇÃO

Abstract

The construction sector is known to be highly fragmented and slow in the transmission of information between stakeholders, thus placing, productivity, profitability and corporate profits at risk. The Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and mobility solutions aim at to reverse this trend and help to improve the profitability of construction companies and the performance of its employees. This paper summarizes the results of a survey implemented at major Portuguese construction companies in order to understand what ICT tools and mobility solutions are used and what their level of knowledge on the subject. The results reflect the will and the need that the construction companies feel to acquire and implement ICT tools and mobility solutions that enable to respond positively to the current requirements including the productivity improvement need and centralization and optimal management of information.
