SEGURANÇA E MEDIAÇÃO DE CONFLITOS: A PROPOSTA PARA A SECRETARIA DE SEGURANÇA PÚBLICA E DEFESA SOCIAL DO ESTADO DO CEARÁ

Abstract

When analyzing the main police occurrences inthe state of the Ceará in the years of 2001 the 2008,collected for the Integrated Coordination of Operations ofSecurity (CIOPS), responsible for the criminal statisticians,called us it attention the great number requests for thecatalogued occurrences as fight of family, drunkeness andclutter, that represented 50% of the registered conflicts morethan and if they characterize as continued relations, what itdemonstrated the possibility of implementation of themechanism of pacific resolution of controversies, themediation. On the basis of these considerations, thisresearch was conducted with the aim to provide mediationas an instrument of democratic conflict resolution,peacemaking and social inclusion at the Department ofPublic Safety and Social Defense of the State of Ceará.
