ESTUDO DA ADSORÇÃO DE ÁCIDO SULFÚRICO, ÁCIDO NÍTRICO E ÁCIDO ACÉTICO EM PÓ DE PNEU RECICLADO DE ESTIRENO BUTADIENO, (SBR), USANDO DIFERENTES MODELOS DE ISOTERMAS DE ADSORÇÃO
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to study the efficiencyof use of powder scrap tires in the removal of dissolvedchemical compounds by adsorption, as an alternativetreatment process of industrial liquid waste. The goal is toevaluate the adsorption of aqueous solutions of acetic acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid in powder of recycled tire ofstyrene butadiene, using the adsorption isotherms ofLangmuir and Freundlich. We use also a model ofadsorption isotherm for non ideal solid phases, based on theprinciple of thermodynamical equilibrium for solid - liquidadsorption. To study the adsorption solid – liquid, recycledtire powder was used as adsorbent material with 40 Meshgrading, and solutes in dilute aqueous solutions were usedas adsorbates. In this study three adsorption systems wereevaluated with several isotherms at room temperature andsolute concentration, varying in the range from 0.1 to 2.0mol-1.
Index Terms - Adsorption isotherms of Langmuir,Freundlich, thermodynamic model, adsorption solid – liquid,SBR, powder of recycled tire.
