BRIEF REVIEW OF STUDIES OF RISK ANALYSIS IN THE PROCESS OF INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENTAL LICENSING IN MUNICIPALITY OF RIO DE JANEIRO

Abstract

The environmental licensing in the state of Riode Janeiro has undergone major changes with regard to thetechnical-scientific, especially in regard Studies RiskAnalysis Industrial, following an agreement between theCity and the State of Rio de Janeiro in 01/08/2007. Thisparticular case contains specific procedures developed toclarify the parameters needed to correct environmentalpermits, or by a wise policy of hiring specialized technicalstaff. Studies on Industrial Risk Analysis are extremelyimportant to protect sensitive populations around theconventional installation or industrial accidents such as:dispersion of toxic substances, fires, explosions and shockwaves. Such occurrences, in most cases, there are limitedfacilities of the company concerned. With this, this paperpresents a systematic framework for the industrial activityon the risk along with preventive measures and mitigation ofan accident, along with draft guidance for staff involved inthe environmental licensing of such activities.Index Terms ⎯ Studies Risk Analysis, Licensing,Environment.
