CONFECÇÃO DE LAJES ALVEOLARES COM APROVEITAMENTO DE GARRAFAS PET NA CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL

Adão Marques Batista, Vlamir Eduardo Pontes

Abstract

The construction industry uses wooden molds, polystyrene and other materials at the alveolar-structuredslabs confection. After the elaboration of the pre-moldedpanels, the molds lose their efficiency and don’t reach thedesired results. The applied materials are discarded, therefore generating difficult-deposition waste likepolystyrene, plastic sheets or Wood, most-used material atcivil building. These materials, when thrown aside, represent possibility of returning the carbon dioxide to theatmosphere, which damages the Ozone layer and helpsdegradation of forests. This paper proposes, starting frombibliographic revision and experiments, the use ofconnecting PET bottles that are incorporated to the slabs, forming the alveoli of the pre-fabricated slabs as asubstitution for the already used materials. The results offlexion tests indicated they show the efficiency of standardmaterials, added to the main advantage of this propose(good use of PET molds, incorporated to reinforced concretestructure), avoiding mere discarding on environment.Index Terms ⎯ Concrete, Slabs, Formwork.
