Abstract

This research seeks to interpret the students’ perception about the use of concept maps as a study strategy. We asked all the students to make a Conceptual Map for each completed unit of the subject so they all have the complete set in such a way that they all have the complete map when finishing taking the course, in order to have the concepts’ relationships before the final examination. The techniques that are used are those provided for the qualitative research since we asked students aspects for the meanings. On the other hand, we try to establish some criteria for evaluating when a Conceptual Map is better than other, taking into account the relationships and the examples it provides. These actions suggest a future research line, focused on the learning in technological subjects’ assessment through the use of conceptual maps as a key tool for teachers.
