DETERMINACIÓN DE LOS ESTILOS DE APRENDIZAJE DE LOS ESTUDIANTES DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TECNOLÓGICA DEL SUR DE SONORA BASADO EN EL MÉTODO Y LA EXPERIENCIA DE DAVID KOLB
Abstract
In order to propose methods and strategies that enhance learning and teaching at the Technological Universities, it is necessary to know the students learning styles to obtain a meaningful learning and to improve the teaching practice. As shown in this study the method used to determine the profile of learning styles in students from the Universidad Tecnológica del Sur de Sonora, Mexico was developed by David A. Kolb. The instrument was applied to 212 students. There were obtained, among others, the following results: 47% of students dominated the usher, 33% convergence, 11% assimilator and 9% divergent style. Based on this information it could be concluded, on one hand, that most of the students tend to focus more on the technical-practical area, which copes with the model of technological universities and on the other hand, this information may be useful for teachers to propose better teaching strategies in the classroom.
