Abstract


The academic activities of the students, from the scientific point of view, are related to the preparation of Undergraduate Work, Monographs, Dissertations and Theses. Although these types of documents has specific characteristics and different deadlines for completion, there is an overlap or similarities related to the process of advisoring conduction, as well as with regard to most of the steps required to develop these documents. Considering that often is not clear to the student as is the research development process or the writing of the related-document, it is possible to consider the concepts of Working Breakdown Structure (WBS) for this purpose. In this sense, this paper details a proposal for a Research Advisory Breakdown Structure (RABS). This consists of an instrument that allows to divide the research scope into smaller parts and hierarchically structured tasks to the development and conclusion of the research.
