¿QUÉ PIENSAN LOS ALUMNOS ACERCA DE SU BAJO RENDIMIENTO ACADÉMICO EN FÍSICA? UN ANÁLISIS REVELADOR EN LA BÚSQUEDA DE SOLUCIONES AL FRACASO EN LOS ESTUDIOS DE INGENIERÍA
Abstract
Students from Electricity, Mechanic, Chemistryand Telecommunications’ Engineering course of studies areasked to give their opinions about their low academic performancein Physics. Students’ opinions on causes and possiblesolutions to the problem are analyzed through a surveyand some reports on meetings of the Grupo de Apoyo Tutorial(Tutorial Support Group) introduced by the School ofEngineering from UNRC (National University of Rio Cuarto)for students at risk of failing. This work was carried outin the framework of a research on Academic Failure in theUniversity Basic Cycle which aims at submitting proposalsfor improving the teaching of Experimental and ExactSciences at universities of Cordoba, in Argentina.Index Terms ⎯ Academic failure, learning strategies, teachingof Physics.
