Abstract


Lack of knowledge integration in CivilEngineering courses has been discussed by severalauthors with improvement proposals ranging fromcurricular remodeling and content formatting propositionsto changing aspects relating to pedagogical concepts andteaching/learning methodologies currently practiced.Within this context, this study tries to assess the use of astructure that has been developed for knowledgeintegration on the Construction Process of Buildings.Thus, a case study was conducted with Civil Engineeringstudents at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. Resultsshowed that applying this structure made the ConstructionProcess clearer and identified the importance of a greaterconceptualization of the terms that are used in this area ofknowledge so as to avoid making mistakes.Index Terms ⎯ Knowledge, integration, civil engineering.
