ANÁLISE DO USO DA METODOLOGIA APRENDIZAGEM BASEADA EM PROBLEMAS NA FORMAÇÃO DE GESTORES DE SAÚDE
Abstract
The changes in professional educationparadigms reflects in health assistance and provision ofhealth services, now focused on the analysis of diseases andillnesses in other points of view, such as social andeconomical situations, besides the biological. Such changesare preached in the Problem-Based Learning methodology.However this development is not apparently done in highereducation. The goal of this study was to diagnose, throughan exploratory case, the reasons for not applying themethodology in managerial formation in health. The sampleconsisted of professors of a health management course. Theywere interviewed about the methodology in criticalformation and its context. The results showed that the mostimportant negative factors are the lack of adequate-trainedprofessors to implement the method and the long time spentby these people to prepare classes. These factors requirenon-paid hours during the week and financial burden for theinstitutions.Index Terms ⎯ Active Learning Methods, Health Education,Health Management, Higher Education, Problem-BasedLearning.
