ANÁLISE DOS ACESSOS DE ENLACE DIRETO E REVERSO PARA PACOTES DE DADOS DE ALTA VELOCIDADE EM SISTEMAS CELULARES DE 3ª GERAÇÃO

Felipe Carrara Robi, Paulo Alves Garcia

Abstract

This article discusses the techniques fortransmitting high speed data in direct link (downlink), and inthe reverse link (uplink), in the mobile communicationequipment of the third generation. Some factors that canreduce the network quality and what parameters canimprove a better performance are analyzed. Through datacollection, using software TEMS, a dedicated software forcollecting data in the field, it is possible to analyze thetransmission process, in order to improve the performanceof the HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) networks. A Datalogging of a real case was done for the comparison than thetheoretical model, and thus a qualitative analysis wasdeveloped in order to verify some points that needimprovements in the 3G cellular communication networks.Index Terms ⎯ WCDMA, HSPA, Cellular, UMTS, 3G.
