ADEQUAÇÃO A BOLONHA – EXEMPLO DE UM CURSO DE ENGENHARIA ELECTROTÉCNICA

Abstract


This paper describes the Bologna adaptationprocess, undergone by the degree course in ElectricalEngineering, at Instituto Superior de Engenharia deCoimbra, Portugal. The Bologna Process represents a newteaching and learning paradigm being sought in theEuropean Higher Education Area. It promotes the transitionfrom a knowledge transmission system to a system based onthe development of personal skills. This process alsorepresents a European approach for the global need to findnew social development models, proposing answers to theemployability, mobility, universality and life-long learningchallenges. The paper introduces this process and definesthe objectives for the study program. A profile for theGraduate is presented, based on the Dublin Descriptors andon the recommendations from national and internationalprofessional associations. The course organization isdescribed using the European Credit Transfer System orECTS. The paper concludes with a reference to the futureaccreditation program to be implemented.Index Terms - ¾ Bologna Process, Dublin Descriptors,ECTS, Electrical Engineering.
