BOLOGNA - 10 YEARS LATER

Abstract


This communication is the result of reflection onthe experience of implementation of the Bologna Process inthe programs of Engineering and Technology University ofMinho after 10 years. The parameters analyzed were: (1) theprograms involved in the process (11 programs inEngineering and 2 programs of Technology), (2) changes ineducational attainment boosted the process, (3) curriculumchanges necessary for the adequacy and implementation; (4)intervention measures developed with teachers and students,including plans by the training needs detected previously,(5) the main results, (6) the difficulties and (7) the futurechallenges. The 13 programs involved throughout theprocess of adaptation and implementation of the BolognaProcess expressed very homogeneous performances on theadequacy and implementation of the Bologna Process, theconcerns and needs of students and teachers were verysimilar, achieving some very near future considerations.Index Terms ⎯ Bologna Process, Portuguese highereducation system.
