VIDEOS DO JOGO DE BEISEBOL E DO MOVIMENTO DE UM PÊNDULO SIMPLES EM ESTUDO E PESQUISA EM MATEMÁTICA COMPUTACIONAL

Abstract

This paper presents an undergraduate researchProject in the computational mathematics’ area. The Projectaims to contribute to the interdisciplinary teaching of sometopics of the basic nucleus subjects of ComputerEngineering. It was developed in three stages. In the firststage we used the computer graphics and knowledge gainedin subjects: Differential and Integral Calculus I, AnalyticGeometry, Linear Algebra, Logic and Fundaments ofProgramming to the representation of a situation videos ofthe baseball game and of motion of Simple Pendulum. In thesecond stage, we studied the mathematical model of themovements of Baseball's ball and of Simple Pendulum ofphysical and of numerical analysis computational viewpoint.In the third stage, we developed a graphical user interface,as a tool to support teaching and learning of subject. Theachieved results were satisfactory, since it was establishedthe construction of knowledge, by breaking down thedisciplinary boundaries.Index Terms ⎯ Computational Mathematic, interdisciplinaryteaching  , mathematical model, numerical analysiscomputational.
