Abstract

Form competence is a major educationalobjectives which is difficult to reach through traditionalteaching methods, where the student is conducted passively, unable to contextualize concepts seen in the classroom insituations similar to their reality. In teaching engineeringthis situation becomes clear, since it requires anapproximation to the real world requiring the adoption ofpractical activities that contribute to building their skills. Thus, the traditional method of teaching is beingcomplemented by constructivist methodologies, whereteaching practices are used, able to work various conceptsthrough simulations of real situations. With this perspective, this work is to describe the game “ProductionManagement”, used in the class of Advanced TechniquesProduction Planning, as a teaching tool for the experienceof concepts related to Just In Time philosophy, examiningthe perceptions of participants about the learning providedby this activity.Index Terms ⎯ Constructivist methodology, GameProduction, Teaching of production engineering.
