Abstract


Moodle is a virtual learning environment whereeducators are helped to work on creation and customizationof online courses, along with the interactive andcollaborative advantages of the environment. The platformenables the distance teaching and the continuous exchangeof information, instantaneous or not, between students andteachers, regardless time or geographical conditions. Thispaper presents a project developed by the Universidade doEstado de Santa Catarina, along with Voltcom do Brasil,about the use of the Moodle environment as a tool toenhance the classroom learning in the courses of ElectricalCircuits I and Classic Control taught at the University. Itforesees the innovation in engineering education, thecontribution to the scientific and technical knowledge andthe familiarity of students and professors with thetechnologies combined in the shaping of the futuregenerations of engineers.Index Terms ⎯ Engineering courses tutoring, Moodle,Virtual learning environment.
