Abstract


The learning of algorithm and programminglogic is delimited by many challenges, among them, the factof beginner students usually do not have any previousknowledge about the construction of algorithms and theneed for an extra-class time exclusively dedicated topractical activities. Despite exercises resolution to be one ofthe most important steps in learning the concepts ofprogramming logic, most of students do not find motivationto resolve long lists of exercises containing didactical, butnot motivational, examples. This work presents analternative approach for teaching programming logicthrough the implementation of logical-mathematical gamesthat encourage the resolution of the proposed exercises.Index Terms ⎯ Algorithms and programming logic, gamedevelopment, pedagogical practices in programming,programming teaching techniques.
