Abstract


The expansion of distance learning courses inBrazil and abroad introduced a scenario where it becomesessential to seek solutions enabling, to the point of view ofquality, both evaluate the distance learning courses andestablish mechanisms to build these structures. Qualityrefers to the differentiation of a product: what qualifies andmeasure their performance. Quality can also be determinedby the degree to which an object (process, product orservice) meets certain requirements and / or attributes.From this, the article presents a model based on standardsfor the development of distance education centers, which aredetailed steps to follow for an implementation based on thequality requirements and the certification process as awhole. This proposal may include an automated tool andpresent the best solution for implementation of a distancelearning center and / or evaluation practices based on thedescribed model.Index Terms ⎯ cognition for formal learning, qualityprocess in distance education, instructional design, qualityfor distance learning centers.
