Abstract


Due to the chaotic traffic of vehicles in thecapital of São Paulo, it was observed that in many trafficlights there is a bad distribution of flow of vehicles. Giventhis scenario, the project aimed to demonstrate theapplicability of Paraconsistent Logic in the treatment ofuncertainties with the support of software engineering andto increase the flow at different hours, in which mainlypresents a larger movement. Through an exploratoryresearch, it was possible to observe, identify and evaluateissues pertinent to the issue. Based on the extraction ofknowledge from professional Traffic Engineering Company(CET), is characterized as specialists, were raised flowcharacteristics of the vehicle at critical times. After theremoval of this information and submitting it for analysis,using a software application, the results over time to changea traffic light to another, supporting the decisions about thepossibility of optimization, case by case basis.Index Terms ⎯  Paraconsistent Logic, Traffic Lights, Traffic, Software Engineering.
