Abstract

Agile software development is becoming ofgreat popularity in industry. Scrum[1], eXtreme[2]programming, Kanban[3] and other software developmentmethodologies are of current use in development teams toimprove performance. However students in school atundergraduate level usually do not learn this perspective. Inschool, pair programming is sometimes the maximum ofteam experience from the student’s point of view. In ourschool we teach a subject, in a Master degree, where agilemethodologies are learned by students during a semesterand applied on following subjects. During this periodstudents work together as a team and learn good practices, similar to the ones used in companies. This is possiblebecause the teaching team has members from academia andindustry. This mixed know-how is transferred for students ina project-based approach along the semester.Index Terms ⎯  Agile development, Outsystems, pairprogramming, software.
