APLICACIÓN SOFTWARE PARA LA ENSEÑANZA DEL PROCESADO DE SEÑAL EN LA INGENIERÃA BIOMÉDICA EN OTORRINOLARINGOLOGÃA

Abstract

The software presented in this paper allows thenew technologies’ use to the lecturer, in order to teach voicecharacteristics. They are very important for BiomedicalEngineering graduates. The students learn healthy andpathological voice features in a practical way, and it ispossible to measure objective parameters (pitch, jitter,shimmer…) to evaluate voice quality. The application userinterface is very friendly and the students control andinterpret the results easily. Moreover the students will reachthe necessary knowledge to develop new signal processingalgorithms and add them to this application. Not only couldthe lecturer, the specialist in otolaryngology assess, as wellthe students’ progress.
