INCORPORACIÓN DE LAS TICs EN LA ASIGNATURA “GEOLOGÃA Y GEOTECNIAâ€- UNR

Abstract

The actual education system is enriched by theuse of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) asan effective tool in the process of teaching and learning anddevelops a favourable environment for human interaction.Nowadays, a tendency towards the introduction of newtechnologies in the classroom has place, in the same waythey have been incorpored to the professional and everydaylife. Since 2004, we began to introduce the ICT at “Geologyand Geotechnics†(sixth semester’s subject of CivilEngeneering – Facultad de Ciencias Exactas, Ingeniería yAgrimensura – UNR). In the essay we present, the differentways in which ICT has been incorporated to “Geology andGeotechnics†are described (PowerPoint proyections,design of our own web page, discussion forums, etc.), aswell the advantages, inconvenient and their contribution tothe student’s integral education and to the teaching andlearning process.
