Abstract

We relate the interdisciplinary teamworkbetween mathematics and physics departments carried outin the area of Basic Sciences in the UNLP College ofEngineering. A group of professors teaching Mathematics B,Integral and Vector Calculus with one or more variables, and Physics II (Electromagnetism) worked together toimplement strategies that improve teaching, learning and thecontinuity of the vector field concepts and their physicalapplications. The actions focus on the utilization oftechnology in the classroom, the active participation ofphysics professors in a mathematics course and follow upwith the students who participated in the study. We describethe different phases of planning, preparation, implementation and evaluation of the developed strategies. We present the results of the analysis and conclude that thestudy had a positive impact on the conceptualization of thesubject studied.
