Abstract


We propose the cipher of plain files by means ofa flow cryptosystem scheme with chaotic addition and asymmetric key. The sequence of pseudorandom numbers isgenerated by a continuous chaotic dynamical system; inparticular we choose the forced Duffing equation. Since itkind of systems are sensitive with respect to the initialconditions, we achieve a method that is strong against anystatistical attack. In a chaotic system, during the process ofnumeric integration internal and output variables aretruncated because of the finite representation of thecomputer. It could turn the chaotic answer into a periodicone. In this letter, we illustrate a heuristic method to breakthis periodicity through a two- dimensional system. In ourlaboratory analysis we statically compare this method withother known stream and block techniques and we found theCPU encryption time is suitable and linear respect to the filesize.
