MODALIDAD DE DICTADO DE UNA ASIGNATURA ELECTIVA DEL ÚLTIMO AÑO DE INGENIERIA ELECTRÓNICA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL DE ROSARIO: INFORMÃTICA III

Abstract

The Electronic Engineering Curriculum has twoobligatory subjects of Computer Science. The first oneintroduces basic algorithmic concepts and a programminglanguage in order to implement the studied algorithms. Inthe second one the basic concepts of object-oriented analysisand design are developed, carrying out practices in JAVA.The advanced topics are discussed in Computer Science III,elective subject of the last year. Since 2004, there have beensuccessive changes in the mode of teaching and assessmentof the latter course, with the aim that students learn to solveproblems similar to those found in the exercise of theirprofession. This paper will analyze the following changes:Practical work proposed by the faculty, resolution ofproblems presented by the students, analysis and oralpresentation of research paper. The last modificationshowed problems for the students to work independently, soin this paper we are going to suggest possible improvements.
