Abstract


The fundamental rationale for metrics isstandardization of what is satisfactory performance in aparticular role. Projects of any area, but especially in thefield of education, may have problems because of the lack ofmeasurements for consistent performance. In order todiscuss the importance of performance management in theeducational field, this work presents three different largescale endeavors: “Teia do Saber” public school teachercontinuing education program, “ConDigital” high schoolmultimedia production and “Letras-Libras” Brazilian signlanguage under graduation courses. This work intends tocontribute to the discussion on the importance of projectmanagement process improvement and project managementoffice governance to large scale educational endeavors inBrazil.
