Abstract

This work presents the conception of theEnvironment of Motive Systems, integrated into theLaboratory of Energy Efficiency, LEENER, located in theFederal University of Juiz de Fora, UFJF, the motivation forthe creation of this location, the interdisciplinaryrelationship with other laboratories, the objectives andtechnical specifications, their simulated stations with theirrespective functionalities and specifications, the studies andexpected results and the formation of training courses in thearea of Combat to the Energy Waste in motive systems forengineering students and professionals of the area. In way todemonstrate the multiplicity of researches that can beaccomplished at the laboratory, is presented, also, throughone of the simulation stations, a study of the behavior of apumping system under variations in demand for flowthrough two methods employed in industry, valve ofstrangulation and control of speed with the frequencyinverter, checking which gives them greater energyefficiency.
