ABCDE DA ANÃLISE DE UMA EMPRESA POLI-TRAUMATIZADA E A FORMAÇÃO DO ENGENHEIRO PARA MELHORIAS DA EMPRESA

Abstract

The objective of this work is to present amethodology for business firm’s analysis, in a systemicfashion, analog to ABCDE procedure of medical emergencyassistance to multiple trauma victims. Engineers areincreasingly responsible for both the technical andmanagerial sides of business firms. Present day engineer’spreparation is not limited to developing, following up andcontrolling firm’s projects and productive processes, butalso the long run viability of these firms. Having innovationas it main focus, engineer’s preparation must besupplemented by the study of a wide spectrum ofmanagement disciplines – economic, financial, commercial,operations planning and control, socio and environmentalresponsibility, and so on. Production Engineering as anengineering course in it own and, above all, as an emphasisto other branches of engineering, completes the engineerformation. To establish the connection between thispreparation and troubled firms, this is focus of this work.
