AVALIAÇÃO DE ACESSIBILIDADE DE WEBSITES VIA CHECKLIST COM FOCO NA DEFICIÊNCIA VISUAL

Abstract


With the growth of digital inclusion, the numberof people with disabilities that use the Internet has grown aswell. To allow them to use the Internet without contentrestriction, it is necessary that websites have accessibility.On December 2004 the decree of law 5.296 was approved.This decree states that all governmental websites should beaccessible to users with visual disabilities within a year fromthat time. This article aims to present the checklistdeveloped to verify the accessibility of Websites as well asthe study in which 20 governmental websites of Joinville andSanta Catarina were evaluated to assess their situation. Theresults obtained with this study are presented and explainedat the end of this article.
