UTILIZAÇÃO DE SISTEMAS COLABORATIVOS NA AVALIAÇÃO INSTITUCIONAL

Abstract

The National System of Higher EducationEvaluation (SINAES) is related to a state policy to evaluateBrazilian higher education. One of its requirements is tomobilize Higher Education Institutions (IES) to developparticipatory and comprehensive self-evaluation processes.This work presents an experience on this matter, in which,by using collaborating systems, a specific self-evaluationmethodology was built. The task of projecting collaboratingsystems joined the efforts of specialists on different areas ofknowledge and allowed the utilization of several informationand communication technologies. The authors try todemonstrate this experience, the connotation of cooperatingsystems and its essential value for implementing internalevaluation processes at Brazilian IES. Generalcharacteristics of SISAVI are also presented. This is acollaborating system designed to act inside the complexcontext of an IES and whose model was based on a multiplestarstructure, which allows us to elaborate cooperatingprojects of this nature.
