Abstract


Environmental Planning is a discipline ofPUC_Campinas’ Environmental Engineering curriculum.Developing such discipline and obtaining positive learningresults was a challenge faced, in the first semester of 2007and 2008, by teachers and students. The programmaticcontents were developed integrating them to the disciplinesbeing taken, as well as the others lived by the student inprevious semesters, through the accomplishment of theenvironmental planning of a small urban basin. Cenarieswere established, with solution proposals, aiming to improvethe basin’s environmental conditions and the residingpopulation’s life quality. This activity has made it possiblefor students to integrate knowledge’s geology, hydrology,biology, chemistry, soil, climatology, cartography,sanitation, transportation, social-economy, geoprocessing,among others. It has also made it possible the developmentof abilities such as team work and making field campaigns.The results were presented in the form of reports and thememaps, allowing the students to develop synthesis abilities.
