Maria Aparecida Hippert Cintra, Ricardo Manfredi Naveiro

Abstract

In general, in Civil Engineering coursesknowledge has been acquired in a disintegrated way withouta holistic view of its context of application, and theprofessional ends up reproducing in practice the way he/shelearned during his/her academic formation. The object ofthis study is to check the knowledge that students have aboutbuilding processes and their perception about the knowledgenecessary for engineers who work in these constructions. Todo so, a case study was conducted together with UFJF CivilEngineering students. Results point to a lack of integrationof knowledge while providing governing elements for abetter class organization in the disciplines in which thequestionnaire is still being applied.
