AN ALTERNATIVE TO TRAINING OF ENGINEERS IN THE CURRENT SCENARIO - EMPHASIS ON WIND ENERGY

Abstract

In this paper is emphasized the importance of
wind energy as a discipline for the scenario of today. A new
structure of course is proposed and described, for the
training of professionals in the electricity sector. The basic
reference was the current world scenario, feedback from
students who have participated in previous courses, and
proposals which arose in discussions between the organizers
of the courses and companies working in the area. The
context of the course is divided into four topics: study of the
winds, types of wind turbines and testing of equipment,
studies of impacts on steady-state and on dynamic analysis
on the electric power network concessionaire and investment
analysis.
